Overview & Win Condition
Log Bait adapts a classic "bait" philosophy: present the opponent with relentless, must-answer threats until they run out of answers. By leading with high-value early drops like Clique Peas and Split Pea, you force the zombie hero to expend their Bungee Plumbers and Rolling Stones prematurely. Once their hand is depleted, you seal the game with devastating, unanswered evolutionary leaps from Gatling Pea or raw stat pushes via Plant Food.
Mulligan Strategy
Your opening hand needs to threaten the opponent's health total immediately to force them onto the defensive.
Always Keep
Clique Peas, Bonk Choy, and Split Pea. Clique Peas scales infinitely if drawn in multiples, and Bonk Choy provides premium turn-one trades against 1-drop zombies.
Vs. Aggro
Berry Blast and Umbrella Leaf. Use Berry Blast for critical early removal, and tuck Umbrella Leaf behind your scaling threats to completely neutralize trick-based counterplay.
Turn-By-Turn Sequence
Early Pressure (Turns 1-3): Drop Clique Peas or Bonk Choy to seize initiative. If playing into an empty lane, a Turn 2 Split Pea accelerates your block meter while dealing massive damage. Play Wild Berry aggressively to scramble zombie blockers and continue forcing unfavorable trades.
Bait & Buff (Turns 4-5): Set up Lily of the Valley on the heights lane, followed immediately by a Veloci-Radish Packmate or Fig to generate a massive tempo swing. By this point, the zombie hero will be desperate to remove your buffed plants, spending their remaining hard removal to survive the phase.
Lethal Execution (Turns 6+): With the opponent drained of resources, evolve Gatling Pea onto any surviving Clique Pea or Split Pea for 10 unblockable damage. Alternatively, utilize Fertilizer to break through heavy defenses, or drop Plant Food for a surprise bonus attack to close out the match.
